Road Tripping--Day 5

Tuesday, September 1st
Stacey had class at 8AM, so she woke us up, and we bid her farewell. We stopped for breakfast at the Sunrise Kitchen because they were supposed to have delicious biscuits, and THEY DID! We headed to South Carolina after running a few errands. We grabbed lunch at Sonny's BBQ which is a chain BBQ I used to go to with my grandparents.
We took a slight detour on our travels to visit the Andrew Jackson State Park. As it turns out, it was also his birthplace. His father died shortly before he was born and his mother moved in with her brother on the land that is now the State Park. There was a nice little museum, a bronze statue, and beautiful land. It was a nice pit stop.
We arrived at our friend, Frank's, in Columbia, SC right after he had gotten home from school. We chatted, and he made us spagetti and meatballs.
States driven through: North Carolina, South Carolina
