Quarantine Hiking--March and April

We officially began quarantine on March 13th when school for the boys was cancelled and never went back in session. It was the Friday before Spring Break. We had planned to go camping at Lake Corpus Christi State Park for a little Spring Break getaway. After school was cancelled, we went back and forth about whether to keep our plans. In the end we decided to cancel and got day hiking at Inks Lake State Park (which was closer). After a day of hiking, we decided to camp a night at Inks Lake because there were a couple sites open the next night! We drove back home for the night. The next day we packed up and went grocery shopping. Then we headed back to Inks Lake! We stopped for lunch at Longhorn Cavern State Park and did a little hiking before some rain! Then we headed to Inks Lake to do some more hiking!
On Monday, we packed up camp and headed to Colorado Bend State Park for some amazing hiking!
After that amazing trip, we settled into quarantine and staying home. We didn't go anywhere. We just walked around our neighborhood and our amazing 300 acre park. Though, the park quickly became crowded as more people stayed home.
We finally ventured out away from our neighborhood at the end of April to celebrate Tiny Bro's birthday. It was a lovely hike and helped us gradually ease out to hike more and desperately searched for lightly trafficked trails!
