Father's Day Weekend

For Father's Day weekend, we had a lot of fun spending time together. Saturday morning we had breakfast at Kerby Lane where pancakes were enjoyed by all.
Then we went to BookPeople and read books to Lil' D for an hour. Then we stuck around for Father/Son storytime where we enjoyed books about Dads.
No stop at BookPeople would be complete without venturing over to REI!
And because on on Father's Day you do things that dads like, an art gallery visit complete with old school 3-D glasses.
Then Lil' D played outside in the grass.
Lunch at Freddy's where we enjoyed a table in the playscape area.
Daddy enjoyed a waffle sandwich with pork sausage.
Sunday morning we enjoyed church and brunch at Austin Java.
After visiting GranBo at the "doctor" we had dinner at Green Mesquite to end a wonderful weekend.

Endurance

Nicholas is working on a special project this year. Endurance. Each day he is in his studio this year, his goal is to finish one 3ft by 5ft drawing. And it has to be "good" by his very high standards. His studio time is limited since he is a part-time stay at home dad, and sicknesses have abounded this winter, by he has completed 47 drawings! On June 8th, he had a viewing party in his studio and sold 4 drawings. It was very successful! Here he is taking down drawing #4!

A 1st Birthday Party

A farm themed first birthday party at the beginning of June in Texas, outstide, for a sweet princess.
Lil' enjoyed the petting zoo.
Look, that dog on your shirt has headphones! Wait, let me see!
It's dangerous to reach for food on Lil' D's plate!
Bubbles!
Maya, being smart...laying right next to the "sweating" wheelbarrow full of ice and beer.
Yep. The best way to eat birthday cake!
Pinata time!
Pinata, the toddler version...you just dump it out!
