Road Tripping--Day 3

Sunday, August 30th
We woke up in our comfy hotel room in Williamsburg. I worked for a bit before officially taking vacation time, and Nicholas did a little strumming on his guitar. We packed up the car...which was a feat everyday. I had a lot of stuff pulled out trying to reorganize and someone that was leaving the hotel made fun of us. I don't remember the joke exactly, but it was all in good fun! I am sure we were quite a sight with a box of cleaning supplies, a fan, a toolbox, suitcases, charcoal, shoes, and various other items we were left with when the PODS was taken away!
Then we ventured to breakfast. We chose one of the 15 pancake houses within a 5 mile radius of our apartment. Some people sat down next to us all decked out in Dallas Cowboys attire. Then we headed to Colonial Williamsburg, but more on that later. :)
We left Williamsburg, drove along the James River to arrive in Chapel Hill, NC at my friend, Stacey's humble abode. We hadn't seen her since our wedding, so we spent some time catching up. Nicholas bonded with her dog, Kaj, so named because he urinated on a cashmere sweater. Then we had yummy fajitas for dinner and hit the sack.
States Driven through: Virginia, North Carolina
