Galveston Family Vacation

Our 2nd annual Dertien/Shank Family vacation was to Galveston, TX. We drove down Wednesday after I finished work. Grandma and GranBo arrived in Galveston late afternoon and got us all set up in our awesome airBnB. Jeremy and Audrey flew in from South Carolina and arrived well after the little Dertien Boys were asleep. Thursday morning, we all enjoyed breakfast at our weekend home. Then we packed up and headed to the beach.
The morning was glorious and filled with splashing  in waves, playing in the sand, and eating snacks. Halfway through our day, the canopy flew up and a screw broke. Fortunately, Nicholas was able to fix it before our next trip to the beach.
We spent the afternoon spending time together, playing games and reading. We ordered some seafood and ate in.
After dinner, we took the boys down to the beach for sunset. While we were there, the boys found a ghost crab. This was Lil' Bro's favorite part of our entire trip!
Friday we all went to Moody Gardens. We started in the Rainforest Pyramid.
We grabbed some lunch. Then we headed to the Aquarium Pyramid.
After spending most of the day at Moody Gardens, we relaxed at the house, playing games and catching up. Saturday we headed to the beach for some more fun in the sun. Grandma and GranBo stayed home to rest.
For dinner we snagged some seafood at Nick's.
Sunday morning we enjoyed breakfast. The boys enjoyed a little more bonding time with Aunt Audrey and Uncle Jeremy while Mommy and Daddy packed up. The we headed to downtown Galveston for some touristy fun and lunch before we headed back home.
