This post is a long time coming. Jack Allen's Kitchen is our new favorite restaurant. It opened in December in the location where we had our rehearsal dinner. We have been there 5 or 6 times since! Jack came from the wonderful Z'Tejas to start his own place. The food is AMAZING, made with fresh, local ingredients. Plus, they serve the best margarita in Austin!
We eaten with family and friends. Most recently, we went on a Friday night, and had to valet park!
The interior is open, inviting, and welcoming for hours of long conversation and drinks!
Some of my favorite dishes are: The Wedgie Salad (because the Green Goddess dressing is DIVINE!), Texas Gulf Blue Crab Gratin, Chile Mango Shrimp Tacos, and the Chorizo Stuffed Pork Tenderloin Medallions.
Appetizers are half-price during happy hour, and the patio opens TONIGHT to celebrate Texas Independence Day!
