RI Blizzard?

As you may remember, we spent a few extra days in Rhode Island due to sickness and the Mid-Atlantic Winter Storm (a.k.a. Snowmaggedon, Snowpocalypse, Snowtorious B.I.G., Snowmygoodness). Our flights were not actually canceled because of RI weather, but because we were connecting in Baltimore and later Chicago. I wonder exactly how much money Southwest lost last week? Rhode Island, however, was slated to get 6-10 inches of snow...and most schools were closed on Wednesday in preparation. This is what I saw (from our hotel room window)...

2/10/10 12:44PM ET
2/10/10 2:09PM ET
2/10/10 3:19PM ET
2/10/10 4:06PM ET
2/10/10 5:13PM ET
2/10/10 6:14PM ET
2/10/10 7:25PM ET
2/10/10 8:45PM
2/10/10 10:41PM ET
2/11/10 9:27AM ET
Warwick, RI maybe got 3 inches...and there was really no reason to miss school other than they really messed up 2 winters ago with an early dismissal and kids ended up on buses for hours before getting home. Thankfully our flights were canceled since Nicholas couldn't fly until Friday anyway, so we were able to change flights for free. On another note, James Woods, who was born in Warwick, RI, was staying in our hotel.
