12 Months

At 12 months, Lil' D has a lot of personality. At church, he loves to help the pastor give their sermon and always speaks up during the prayers of the day. Today he had many prayers for Da-Da! He has started taking a few steps, but is very careful not to fall down. He has become an expert "knee-walker." Lil' D's favorite things are eating, barking at dogs and any other animal he sees, reading books, and loving on Mommy and Daddy. He gives great big hugs and kisses and awesome high fives!

Keep Kinect-ed

Nicholas had a birthday a couple weeks ago. It might not have been mentioned here, but we did celebrate! Last year we were expected our little bundle of joy 1 day after Nicholas' birthday. Fortunately, Lil' D was born 5 days after Nicholas' birthday so that Nicholas could still have his day. Nicholas and Lil' D spent the day working outside. Lil' D had a blast!

We had dinner at Mandola's Italian restaurant.

Then we went home, put Lil' D to bed and Kinect-ed it up!

The First Birthday

There is officially a one year old in our house! I have read that toddlerhood starts at one. So apparently overnight, Lil' D ceased being a baby and is now a toddler. He isn't quite toddling by himself, yet, but he definitely has a lot of personality and spunk. We celebrated Lil' D's first birthday milestone with a party on Sunday 2/5. Lil' D's cute baby friends came to help celebrate. Nicholas built an awesome peak-a-boo house for Lil' D to play with. Lil' D thinks it is he coolest 1st birthday present ever!

Lil' D's actual birthday was on a Tuesday. He went to dinner with Mommy and Daddy at Kirby Lane where he feasted on pumpkin pancakes, fruit and stuffed acorn squash. He enjoyed flirting with all the ladies.

What a wonderful first birthday celebration!
