Tag Sale

So we are driving around and enjoying the quaint town of Lenox, MA in the Berkshire mountains. We have been there enough times now that we know the "back" way to Tanglewood and can avoid the main street traffic. As we are driving we notice these signs that say "Tag Sale." Nicholas and I assumed it was probably similar to a Yard Sale (or "ard" sale as some young Rhode Islanders would say). We met the Turmans for lunch in town, and they mentioned seeing the same signs on their exploratory drive. Our table was very close to the host stand, and one of the hostesses overheard our conversation. She came over, and we asked what a Tag Sale was. She said, "You don't know what a Tag Sale is?" We asked if it was like a yard sale. She said, "No, it's like a sale that you put tags on everything."
