Day 5 of our Santa Fe road trip was the 4th of July! I made blueberries pancakes for breakfast before we headed out to explore Santa Fe a little bit more. First stop, the Santa Fe Capitol building. I have memories of visiting the building when I was about 7 and just really wanted to go with my boys. We had a great time just walking around and were surprised to find the building was open.

There was a really neat quilt exhibit with bower bird scenes. Baby Bro loved them!
After the Capitol, we found a fun playground with prairie dogs! The boys loved watching the ground squirrels!
Then we headed back to the house for a family lunch. Steve and Wendy brought lunch over. After yummy lunch, Wendy's brother, Tom, gave us a little concert!
We still needed to have dinner after our family lunch, so we through together some sausage and red, white, blue fruit.
Then we had an early little birthday celebration for Baby Bro. The smash cake was a success!
The big boys stayed up after dark to try to catch some fireworks. They couldn't really see any because of the trees but had a great time looking!
After the boys went to bed, we had more adult game fun!
