Nicholas and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary in Chicago piggybacking off a work trip for me. Thanks to Kathryn for watching the boys and getting them to school on Monday! We had to fly on different planes into different airports but met up around lunchtime. Then we walked all over the city. We visited Millennium Park, Grant Park, walked along the lake, and explored the Field Museum.
Sue the T-Rex, the largest, most complete T Rex skeleton! It was awesome! Even as an adult, I still LOVE dinosaurs!
It was raining a lot of the day, but pretty hard by the time we got out of the museum. By the time we figured out what we were going to do for dinner and made it to public transportation, we were wet. We decided to go to a dinner movie at AMC dine in theater. We saw Brittney Runs a Marathon and took the train back to the hotel. It was a lovely day, and great to have a little getaway that coincided with our anniversary!
