In November we took a spontaneous camping trip to Inks Lake State Park. It was our first time camping with 4 little boys, and overall it was a great trip. We had a little cabin on the lake that was big enough to hold two bunk beds. There was also a heater which was handy in the morning. Since it was a spontaneous trip, we had to spend the morning on Saturday getting ready and packing the car and then stopped at HEB on the way to pick up food. We arrived at our campsite around 4pm, unloaded the car, and picked up some firewood. We took a little walk to explore the playground and watch sunset.
We came back for easy dinner and s'mores around the campfire. The boys were a little crazy, and bedtime ended up being much later than we would have like. Everyone slept okay. The baby slept the best of everyone and longer than he normally does!
It was really cold Sunday morning! We huddled in the cabin with the heater. Then we broke camp and cleaned up before venturing out on a hike!
We hiked about 3 miles, and it was awesome! We can't wait to go again.
