Weekend Adventures

Our first weekend home with two adorable boys was filled with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!

My parents came to meet Lil' Bro on Friday. 

Big Bro is always interested in holding Lil' Bro...for a few minutes.

My parents left on Saturday and three of my siblings came to visit on Saturday.

Big Bro enjoyed playing with his cousin. They both played so well together the entire time they were together! All of Big Bro's toys got plenty of use!

Saturday night, Nicholas' family came over and Nicholas grilled some yummy food. It was great to have a house full of family.

Sunday morning we enjoyed breakfast tacos and more cousin playtime while Nicholas and I took Lil' Bro to the doctor.

My siblings left Sunday afternoon to head back to Dallas. Derek and Bryan came over to meet Lil' Bro and hang out with Big Bro.

And Three Became Four...

On Wednesday, May 21st, our fabulous family of 3 became 4! After much anticipation, baby brother finally made his entrance into the world, 4 days past his due date. I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and we were scheduled for an induction the next day. I started having contractions after leaving the doctors office and baby boy decided he would make his entrance on his own. We welcomed our newest addition at 7:13am.

Weighing in at 9lbs 13oz and 20 1/4 inches long, we clearly do not make small babies! 

Our newest bundle of joy is loved by all, but no one more than his big brother. Lil' D is so excited to be a big brother (and very happy that baby brother is finally out of Mommy's belly). 

We spent one night in the hospital and were able to go home Thursday night. What a different hospital experience with our second child! 

While we were in the hospital, Lil' D stayed with Nicholas' parents. He was very excited for us all to be home together, so he met us at home on Thursday night. 

Our first official family photo! Now we settle in, welcome visitors and find a new normal with two cute boys instead of just one. So far my favorite part is the random sweet whispers "I'm a big brother..."

Wildflower Center Family Garden

Saturday we visited the new family garden at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. It was opening weekend and we stumbled upon Member's Preview Day!

Lil' D enjoyed exploring all the different areas.

There was an awesome cave behind the waterfall...natural air conditioning!

What a fun day!
