Lil' D's 3rd Birthday party was a success. He decided he wanted a dinosaur birthday party so Mommy went straight to Pinterest for lots of fun ideas.
Food: Sweetavores (dino cookies), watermelon spikes, popcorn, herbivores (veggies and hummus), fruitavores (fruit surrounding a T-Rex watermelon), dino eggs (grapes), breakfastavores (lemon zucchini muffins and egg bake).
We had lots of fun prepping together for the activities.
Activity 1: Playdough and dinosaurs. Mommy and Lil' D made some green and yellow glitter playdough.
Activity 2: Digging for fossils in the dino pit. Mommy and Lil' D made "fossils" using a salt dough recipe and pressed dinosaur fossils into the soft dough. Daddy and Lil' D built the dino pit.
Activity 3: Dino Eggs. Mommy and Lil' D made a dirt/flour mixture and hid mini-dinosaurs inside. They were hard like rocks by the time the party came around. The kids had a great time breaking them open to find the hidden treasures!
Activity 4: A dinosaur photo booth. There weren't many pictures taken, but the kids had a great time wearing the fun foam dinosaur masks I bought.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Lil' D!
