Christmas Eve, we woke up to this cutie! It was a busy day because I was working, but also needed to finish cleaning the house and go grocery shopping for the next few days. Lil' D was also a little bit under the weather. Waiting to do all your grocery shopping until Christmas Eve is perhaps not the best idea. The grocery store was insane, and they were out of some things that I wanted, but thankfully didn't "need."
We went to the 5pm Christmas Eve worship service at church. Nicholas was playing bells with the handbell choir at the 5pm and 7pm services. Nicholas' parents, brother, grandfather, and Laura all were at church with us. Lil' D fell asleep on the way to church, so we spent the first half of the service in the Narthex napping. We made it into the sanctuary for the Children's sermon, and spent the rest this service in the Narthex with the other moms and coughing children.
Nicholas stayed for the 7pm service, but we headed home to prepare for our Christmas Eve guests! I promised Nicholas that I would not stress about preparing a lot of food, so I made strawberry santa hats instead of the strawberry santas I saw on Pinterest.
Lil' D gots lots of playing in with his family and the new toys he received from his first Christmas in Dallas.
Then we opened a few presents with Laura and Grandpa Har.
Lil' D was very excited about the play tent and tunnel from Grandpa Har!
Beautiful Laura!
Another wonderful Christmas Eve filled with family!
