Easter

Easter was quiet this year, and quite an adjustment now that Nicholas works at church. Nicholas was busy helping with all the events of Holy Week, Lil' D got sick, and Mommy is 9 months pregnant, so there were not as many holiday fun things as Mommy would have liked. Lil' D slept in until 8am on Sunday morning! A first for awhile (especially after having a terrible cough for several days). Nicholas was already at work. Lil' D came into my room and said, "Mommy, did the Easter Bunny come?" So we went hunting for the basket of goodies the Easter Bunny left complete with new underwear, an apron and a new Bible.

Then we got ready for church. Lil' D enjoyed reading his Bible in the car on the way to church and then wanted to carry it in with him.

Nicholas' mom came over in the afternoon. 

Lil' D enjoyed hunting for Easter eggs in the backyard. Mommy made him close his eyes before hunting.

When you are an only child, you can leisurely sit down and open your eggs.

Baby Showers

Somewhere along the road of preparing for baby #2, we were blessed to have two beautiful showers thrown for us in celebration! Shower #1 was thrown  by the Morgans and overflowed with Council love from my three years serving on church council. What a blessing to bring a new life into such an abundantly grace-filled community! This is only picture I have from that party because Nicholas wasn't a very good picture-taker. :)

Shower #2 was thrown by my former co-worker. We haven't known each other that long, but am blessed to have her in my life now.

33 at 33 Weeks

Another birthday come and gone! Nicholas and Lil' D sang me Happy Birthday at breakfast. Lil' D kept asking what kind of birthday I was going to have. He made me a lovely card at school!

We had dinner at Abuelo's with Nicholas' parents and managed to snap a few pictures. Picture taking with a 3 year old is always an adventure!

Coincidentally, I turned 33 when I was 33 weeks pregnant with Baby #2.

Wildflower Center

A few weeks ago we went to the Wildflower Center to take some pictures with bluebonnets, but we got there only 15 minutes before closing. Woops! And then, we found there weren't many bluebonnets out!
