Confirmation

Two years ago I started mentoring the 7th grade Confirmation kids. On May 19th, I watched them stand in from of the congregation and affirm their baptism to accept ownership of their faith journey.

Little Matt (whom I taught to spell his name while riding home from daycare) is such a grown up now! He stood at the pulpit and shared what he believes and why he wanted to be Confirmed. What a blessing to be a part of his life.

Terra and Jamie's Wedding

Last weekend we enjoyed Terra and Jamie's wedding. 

Lil' D enjoyed the fun games, especially the kite!

Mother's Day

After being sick for a few days, I was relieved to be feeling much better by Mother's Day! Our family of three had breakfast at Galaxy Cafe. 

Then we went over to Nicholas' parents house.

After which the five of us visited the Austin Zoo.

Lil' D is a big fan of the zoo. We grabbed a late lunch...then Lil' D took a much NEEDED nap.

And we finished out the day on the South lawn of the Capitol Building for the Mother's Day Concert in the Park presented by the Austin Symphonic Band.

Dallas Visit

While Nicholas was out of town, Lil' D and I made a day trip to Dallas. All packed in the car and ready to go! Lil' D did great on the car ride up. We had plenty of snacks and plenty of toys to keep him entertained.

After visiting for a little while, we had lunch at McAlister's with my siblings and nieces.
