Sweet Berry Farm

Two Saturdays ago, we visited Sweet Berry Farm with a group of friends. This is not to be confused with our beloved Sweet Berry Farm in Rhode Island where we enjoyed apple picking, pumpkin patch picking, raspberry picking and overall Rhode Island awesomeness.
This Sweet Berry Farm was in Marble Falls, TX. They grow strawberries and have wonderful Fall festivities including: hay ride, kid's candycorn maze, adult Texas maze, pick your own flowers (zinnias), animal watching (donkeys, horses, and goats), feed the goats, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, and a variety of pumpkins and gourds to take pictures in/with and purchase. It was a grand 'ol time. We met at the Bluebonnet Cafe for brunch. They are known for their pie, so everyone enjoyed a slice post-meal.
Then we headed to the farm...with enough other people to encompass the state of Rhode Island. No, seriously, there were a lot of people there.
And adorable kiddos!
There were lots of photo opportunities.
And lots of Lil' D running around and chasing people!
Little Boy did SOOOOOO much walking!
Smelling the fresh cut flowers
We went on the hayride. It was not a haunted hayride, though, the scarecrows with potato sack heads were rather frigthening.

Sunday Adventures

Last Sunday we went to First English for Bryan's Installation as the Director of Music.
Uncle Bryan enjoyed showing Lil' D all about the organ.
Sharing the bench with Ginna, our favorite Mrs. Franke.
We had lunch at Texas French Bread. It was crazy busy!
Afterwards, we went to Central Market to have coffee with the McAnnally's. They moved from Austin to Costa Rica right after our wedding. They had never met Lil' D before, and thought he was adorable.
Lil' D enjoyed playing on the playground...
And chasing the birds...
Then we had dinner at Trudy's downtown with my old college friends Stacey and Kelly.
Lil' D wowed them with his eating skills.
