A First Farewell

Not only are Nicholas and I leaving RI this month, but our friends, Nick and Liz, are as well. They are moving to Minnesota where Liz has accepted a call as an Associate Pastor at a large church in Woodbury, MN. So we are bidding farewell to our Pastor and friend.

We obviously spend a lot of time with Nick and Liz. They are all over this blog. We also do a lot of things at church with them. Most recently, we were all part of a Couple's Bible Study with 3 other couples where we went through part of the Book of Romans. I am also part of a Lunch Bunch/Book Club with Liz. The two groups met for a family farewell picnic for the Eide Family.

We had a great venue with a big yard, big and little kiddie pools, and a fabulous new patio that we helped christen. (Thank you Bergstrand's for opening your home!) All the kids (and some adults) had fun playing in the water.

Erick grilled lots of yummy food, and we feasted on all the various salads, sides, and desserts that everyone brought.

As a going away gift we gathered "Rhode Island" items to send with the Eide's. Some of the items included: Good Night, Rhode Island children's books; Narragansett Beer; Rhode Island coffee/food products; Rhode Island hats for the kids; lotion, and a Dunkin Donuts coffee mug.
